Information on 2018-2019 class assignments

posted Jun 19, 2018, 1:23 PM by Mary Beth Donovan-Grassi

Hello Tenney families, this is Mary Beth Donovan with some end-of-the year information.  Report cards will be handed out Friday and your child's teacher for next year will not be listed on the card. Instead, you'll see that the student ID number has been highlighted. Please take note of  that number, which most of our students know as their lunch number. The last week of July, we will make a connect ed call to tell you class lists have been posted on our school web page. You'll need to know your child's student ID number to find his assignment. as we will not list student names.
Also, Friday is a full day of school, lunch provided, and we will also host Move Up assemblies by grade levels, not by individual classrooms. And, thank you for remembering that Friday is the last day to pick up any medicine from our nurses' office. We cannot hold medication over the summer.
Thank you for your understanding and support. We look forward to sharing the last few days of the school year with our students.

June 10 Call

posted Jun 8, 2018, 8:53 AM by Mary Beth Donovan-Grassi

Hello Tenney families, this is Mary Beth Donovan with your second-to last Sunday night phone call of the school year.
Three  very important things:
1. If your child has medicine or inhalers in the nurses office, please make sure you pick them up by the last day of school, June 22. We cannot store any medications during the summer and anything left behind will be discarded.
2. Fun Days are Wednesday and Thursday. Check out the Tenney PTO Grammar Facebook page for details and how you can volunteer. It’s a good idea to send your child to school wearing sunscreen and a hat on Fun Day.
3. On Friday we celebrate our eighth graders with a special ceremony. Please be advised we expect to have increased traffic around our school in the morning - all for wonderful reasons.

June 3 Call

Hi Tenney families, it is Sunday night and this is Mary Beth Donovan with your call about the week ahead.  This week our Tenney chorus performs Wednesday at 7pm. Please join us for the last performance of the year. Our visiting dentist will be at the school Wednesday and Thursday for those students whose families have filled out the paperwork. And parents of students who will be in grades 7 and 8 next year, please return the enrollment forms for Tenney Rocks the Nevins, a summer program just for our kids at the Nevins Library Friday mornings. We will read, talk books, do related activities and stay connected. The forms should be returned by Friday June 8. And the end of the school year is near. The last day of school is June 22, a full day.
