On Thursday, January 10, 2019, the Methuen High School DECA club participated in the District 3 Conference held at Merrimack College. Twenty-nine MHS students competed against students from area schools in various business, finance, marketing, and accounting events. Congratulations to our students who finished in the top six of their event:
  • Megan Bergeron and Arianna Savoia - 4th Place - Business Law and Ethics Team Decision Making
  • Alexa Gaton Hernandez - 3rd Place - Business Services Marketing Individual Event
  • Euris Rivera - 6th Place - Financial Consulting
  • Dev Khambhati - 5th Place - Hospitality and Tourism Professional Selling Event
  • Emily Donovan and Grace McKinnon - 4th Place - Integrated Marketing Campaign for a Service
  • Adam Araujo - 5th Place - Marketing Communications Series Individual Event
  • Fan Gong - 1st Place - Principles of Finance
  • Katherine Delap - 4th Place - Principles of Finance
Each of the students mentioned above has qualified to compete at the Massachusetts DECA State Career Development Conference (SCDC) held in March at the Marriott Copley Hotel in Boston. Along with the students who qualified, the MHS DECA program will bring a team of four members to compete in the DECA Quiz Bowl tournament.

Thank you to our DECA advisors, Jason Symmes, Danielle McLeod, and Cameron Martin, for the outstanding support of our students and great job to the twenty-nine students who represented MHS at the regional competition.
