MHS Day of Silence - Tuesday, April 25, 2017

posted Apr 21, 2017, 9:35 AM by Richard Barden
On Tuesday, April 25, 2017, a number of MHS students will be participating in GLSEN Day of Silence. Day of Silence is a student-led national event that brings awareness to the silencing effects of anti-LGBTQ name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools. Students from middle school to college take a vow of silence in an effort to encourage schools and classmates to address the problem of anti-LGBTQ behavior by illustrating the silencing effect of bullying and harassment on LGBTQ students and those perceived to be LGBTQ. Participating students are commended for their leadership and commitment to spreading this very important message.
