Grade 10 MCAS Mathematics - Tuesday, May 16, 2017, and Wednesday, May 17, 2017

On Thursday, May 11, 2017, an assembly was held for grade ten students to discuss MCAS Math testing scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 16, and Wednesday, May 17. At the assembly, students were provided essential information necessary to prepare for testing. On Tuesday (Session 1), students are not allowed to use a calculator, and on Wednesday (Session 2), students are allowed to use a calculator. Calculators will be provided, however, students are encouraged to bring a calculator that they are comfortable using. As a reminder, it is important that all students get eight hours of sleep each night and have a healthy breakfast each morning. Students should arrive to school before 7:05 a.m. and report to the assigned testing room immediately. Also, the use of cell phones and other electronic devices during testing for any purpose is prohibited. Scores will be invalidated if electronic devices are used. I encourage all families to take a few moments before testing to discuss these topics with your student. Most importantly, I wish grade ten students the best throughout testing and hope each student achieves our school-wide goal of proficient or advanced scores.
