The holiday season is upon us again.  It is always a busy time for families, but a happy one too!  The same can be said for our CGS family! Look at some of the things we have going on this month...

School Wide…

• Our PBIS program is going well!  Our Bulldog Buck tallies are through the roof.  The students are responding positively and enjoying classroom rewards.   

• November 5th will be the day for picture retaking.  Students can return picture packages for another sitting.  

• On the evening of November 5th, our PTO will host a Craft Decorating Night.  During this time students, teachers and parents will create crafts for upcoming festivities like the Festival of Trees and the Santa Parade.

• November 6th is voting day.  There is no school on the 6th.

• The CGS Turkey Trot for grades 4-8 will take place on Nov 21st.  Students will run with grade level peers. Winner ribbons will be distributed to boys and girls.

• Wednesday the 21st is a half day for students.  We also have Thursday and Friday off that week for Thanksgiving.

• The first Trimester ends on the 30th.  Parent conferences will be in December.

From the Lower School…

• The Lower school will host a few Spirit days this month.  

• November 2nd- Mathlete/Athlete Day.  Dress as your favorite inventor or favorite athlete. Try to make an outfit to show both!

• November 9th- Hero or Villain Day.  Show your favorite character from literature!

• November 16th- Dress Up Day.  Dress your fanciest!

From the Upper School…

• November 1:   Peer Leaders Food Drive Drive

• November 5:   Continental Math League meet Grades 5-8

• November 9:   Flannel Spirit Day

• November 21: Culture Spirit Day

La temporada festiva se acerca nuevamente. Siempre es un tiempo ocupado para las familias, pero al mismo tiempo feliz.!  Lo mismo podemos decir para nuestra familia CGS! Estas son unas actualizaciones para este mes...

En toda la Escuela…

• Nuestro programa PBIS va muy bien!  Nuestros boletos de Bulldog Buck van por las nubes.  Los estudiantes están respondiendo positivamente y disfrutando los incentivos del salón de clases.

• El 5 de Noviembre sera el dia de retomar la foto escolar.  Los estudiantes pueden devolver los paquetes de la otra toma.  

• En la tarde del 5 de Noviembre, nuestro PTO tendrá una noche de manualidades.  Durante este tiempo, los padres y maestros van a crear manualidades para las festividades que se avecinan como el Festival de Árboles y la Parada de Santa.  

• El 6 de Noviembre es dia de votacion.  No tendremos clases ese dia 6.

• EL Turkey Trot de la CGS para los grados 4-8 será el 21 de Noviembre.  Los estudiantes correrán con los compañeros de su grado. Los ganadores de los listones serán distribuidos a los niños y niñas.

• El Miércoles 21 es medio dia para los estudiantes .  también tendremos libre el Jueves y Viernes de esa semana por el Dia de Accion de Gracias.

• El primer Trimestre finaliza el día 30. La conferencia de Padres será en Diciembre.  

Para la Escuela Primaria…

• La escuela Primaria tendrá unos dias del espíritu este mes.  

• 2 de Noviembre - Mathlete/Dia del Atleta.  Vista como su inventor o atleta favorito. Trate de hacer un disfraz para mostrar ambos!

• 9 de Noviembre - Héroe o villano.Muestrame tu personaje favorito de literatura!

• 16 de Noviembre - Dia de Vestirte Elegante.  Viste lo más elegante que puedas!

Para la Escuela Media …

• 1ero de Noviembre: Recolecta de Alimentos de los Peer Leaders

• 5 de Noviembre :   Continental Math League se reunirá para los  Grados 5-8

• 9 de Noviembre:   Día del espíritu de la Franela

• 21 de Noviembre: Dia del espiritu Cultural
