Looking to the end the Year

Hello CGS families,

Though the end of the year is upon us,  we still have a few weeks left.  And those weeks are BUSY!  Please keep an eye on the June calendar that was sent home last week for all the excitement from the picnics to the play that are planned this month.  We had a great spring season highlighted by band performances, the National Jr. Honor Society induction, and our first annual Special Someone Dance for the Lower School just last week.  Also, we held our annual CGS Relay walk around the school as prelude to another strong showing at the Methuen Relay for Life event.  I am always very proud of our staff and students this time of year for all the hard work the put forth in raising money and awareness for a great cause.   All were great events with awesome turnouts.  Just last night we held our third annual Family Fitness Night, which got everyone out and active.

This is a very important time of year to be checking backpacks for notices home on school events and the several grade level field trips that are happening, but here are some big dates/events to keep in mind:

*6/10 is a half day for students.  11:15 dismissal for Upper School and 11:45 for Lower School.
*Upper School field days are the week of 6/8
*Academic Bowl trip to the State House is on 6/15
*20+ field trip is on 6/16
*Grade 8 celebration activities commence on 6/19
*Lower School Picnic is 6/23
*Last Day for Kindergarten students is 6/23
*Upper School Picnic is 6/24
*8th grade Final Assembly is 6/25
*Last day of school for grades 1-8 is 6/26.  This is a half day for students. 11:15 dismissal for Upper School and 11:45 for Lower School.
*Move up day will be held the last day of school as well as the issuance of the year end report cards.

Of course I will keep you posted as things arise with my awesome connect ed messages, but please call the school at any time if you have questions.

That is all for now,
Mr. Reeve
