The last day of school is rapidly approaching, but that doesn’t mean things slow down at all at the CGS.  In fact, it’s quite the opposite! Take a look at what is happening this month.

• The first ever CGS Olympics will take place on June 12th.  This event is provided as part of the PBIS initiative and will include all grade levels.  

• The Mobile Dentist will be seeing patients at the CGS on June 13th.  This is a great opportunity for our students to receive important care.  

• Picnic/ Fun Days  will occur on June 18th for the Lower School, and June 19th for the Upper School.  This busy day is a great celebration of teamwork and perseverance!! The rain date is June 20th

• The Nevins Memorial library staff will deliver grade level book talks during our School Picnic/Fun Day. Library staff members will share book talks and activities to encourage students to continue reading during the summer.   We are thankful to have this community partner.

From the Lower school...

• Ms. Ennis’ 3rd  grade class will visit the Methuen Senior Center on June 1st to meet Pen Pals.  Students loved communicating with, and learning from, their wise friends throughout the year.  

• Fourth grade students will share their Wax Museum presentations on June 6th, 7th and 8th.  Students present with great research and creativity!

• The beloved CGS Guest Reader Event is scheduled for June 7th from 8:30- 9:30.  The students always enjoy listening to read-aloud stories from community leaders and partners during this event.

• Fourth grade students will visit the Methuen Memorial Music Hall on June 7th.  This trip provides a wonderful opportunity to explore the riches of Methuen.  

• Third grade students will be visiting Drumlin Farm on June 14th.  Students are excited to expand their Science exploration during this experience.  

• Kindergarten students will be visiting Davis’ Farmland on June 19th. This adventure is a culmination to the animal research project.

From the Upper School…

• On June 11 Academic Bowl Finals will held at the Tenney School from 3:30-5:30.

• Our Grade 8 students have their Celebration week with various activities throughout the week leading up to Final Assembly.

• The 20+ field trip to Boston will be on June 13th.

El último día de escuela se acerca rápidamente, pero esto no significa que las cosas van más despacio en la CGS. De hecho, es totalmente lo opuesto!  Échele un vistazo a lo que estará pasando este mes.

• Por primera vez las  Olimpiadas de la CGS  serán el 12 de Junio.  Este evento será traídos a ustedes  como parte de la iniciativa PBIS y serán incluidos todos los grados.  

• El  Dentista móvil  estará viendo pacientes en la CGS el  13 de Junio.  Esta es una gran oportunidad para nuestros estudiantes recibir este importante cuidado.  

• Picnic/ Días divertidos  estarán ocurriendo el  18 de Junio para la escuela Primaria , y 19 de  Junio para la Escuela Media.  Este dia tan ocupado es una gran celebración del trabajo en equipo y perseverancia !! En caso de lluvia la fecha será el 20 de   Junio.

• El personal de la Nevins Memorial library va a traernos charla de libros de acuerdo al nivel de grado durante nuestro Picnic/Dia divertido. El personal de la Librería van a compartir charla de libros y actividades para incentivar a los estudiantes a leer durante el Verano.   Estamos agradecidos de tener este compañero en la comunidad.

Para la Escuela Primaria...

• La clase de Ms. Ennis’ del 3er  grado va a visitar el Methuen Senior Center el 1ero de  Junio para conocer los Amigos por Correspondencia.  Los estudiantes les gusta comunicarse con, y aprender de, sus sabios amigos durante el año.  

• Los estudiantes del cuarto grado van a compartir su Presentación del Museo de Cera el 6 ,7 y 8 de Junio.  Los estudiantes presentan su gran investigación y creatividad !

• El querido Evento del Lector Invitado CGS está agendado para el 7 de  Junio de 8:30- 9:30.  Los estudiantes siempre disfrutan escuchar las historias leídas en voz alta de parte de los líderes de nuestra comunidad y compañeros durante este evento.

• Los estudiantes del cuarto grado van a visitar el  Methuen Memorial Music Hall el 7 de Junio.  Este paseo les da la oportunidad de explorar las riquezas de Methuen.  

• Los estudiantes del  Tercer grado van a visitar Drumlin Farm el  14 Junio.  Los estudiantes están emocionados de expandir su exploración de ciencias durante esta experiencia.  

• Los estudiantes de Kindergarten  van a visitar Davis’ Farmland el 19 de Junio. Esta aventura  es una culminación del proyecto de investigación animal.

Para la Escuela media…

• El 11 de  Junio serán las finales del  Academic Bowl estas serán en la Escuela  Tenney de 3:30-5:30.

• Nuestros estudiantes del Grado 8 van a tener su semana de celebración con varias actividades durante la semana camino a la graduación.

• El paseo de  20+ a Boston será el 13 de Junio.
