December  Update

December is always a busy time of the year at the CGS!  Here are some highlights!  

• The CGS proudly displayed our “Tropical Holiday Surf Shack” at the Santa Parade.  The PTO, staff and students enjoyed the special day.  We were proud to bring some “snow” to the event.  

• The CGS first grade students will visit the New England Aquarium on December 6th.  This enriching experience will complement classroom studies of animals and their habitats.

• Our Scholastic Book Fair fundraiser will begin on December 8th.  Parent Night is on December 15th during conference time.  The fundraiser concludes on December 16th.  Parents and students are encouraged to stop by for some quality holiday shopping!

• Report cards will be issued on December 15th.  Parent conferences will be held on December 15th and 16th.  We look forward to discussing student progress with parents.  

• PBIS parent workshops will be held during parent conferences.  We look forward to sharing our vision and practices with parents.  On December 15th,  parents may attend the 2:00 or 7:00 workshop.  On the 16th, we will have one more parent workshop at 1:00.

• Peer Leader group ran an extremely successful food drive in November.  We were able to help so many families in need, both from the CGS and greater Methuen area.  We also used donations to fortify our pantry for our school backpack program.  Proof positive that the CGS is the BEST!

• Grades 5-8 PJ Pants Dance will be held on the 22nd, from 5pm until 8pm.  

• PBIS Fundays will be held on the 22nd for Upper School, and the 23rd for the Lower School.  

• The 23rd is Red and Green Spirit Day!  Upper School will also have its annual Powder Puff Football game.

Actualización de Diciembre

Diciembre siempre es una temporada del año muy ocupada en la CGS!  Aquí les tenemos unos detalles!  

• La CGS orgullosamente presento nuestro “Tropical Holiday Surf Shack” en la  Parada de Santa . El PTO, personal de la escuela y  los estudiantes disfrutaron ese día especial.  Estabamos orgullosos de traer algo de “nieve” al evento.  

• Los estudiantes del Primer Grado de la  CGS visitarán el  New England Aquarium el 6 de  Diciembre.  Esta experiencia enriquecedora complementará  los estudios del salón de los animales y su ambiente.

• Nuestra  Feria del Libro Scholastic recaudación de fondos dará inicio el 8 de Diciembre.  La noche de Padres es el 15 de Diciembre durante la conferencia de Padres.  La recaudación de fondos terminará el 16 de Diciembre.  Los Padres y estudiantes están invitados a visitarnos y para unas compras de calidad estas fiestas.

• Targetas de Reporte serán emitidas el 15 de Diciembre.  La conferencia de padres será el 15 y 16 de Diciembre.  Esperamos contar con su presencia para discutir el progreso de los  estudiantes con los padres.

• Taller de padres PBIS será durante la conferencia de padres.  Esperamos poder compartir nuestra visión y práctica con los padres.  El 15 de Diciembre,  los padres podrán asistir el taller de las 2:00 o el de las  7:00 .  El  16, tendremos un taller mas para los padres a las 1:00.

• Peer Leader group corrió un extremadamente exitoso recaudación de comida en Noviembre.  Pudimos ayudar muchas familias necesitadas, en la CGS y en otras áreas de Methuen.  De igual manera usamos donaciones para apoyar nuestro programa de la CGS de  la Mochila. Prueba positiva que la CGS es la MEJOR!

• Los Grados 5-8 PJ Pants Dance será el día 22, de 5pm hasta las 8pm.  

• PBIS Fundays será el día 22 para la Escuela Media, y el 23 para la Escuela Primaria.

• El 23 es el día del espiritu Rojo y Verde!  La Escuela Media tendrá de igual manera su juego annual Powder Puff Football game.
